In 1880, Hotel des Etrangers was born. Over the years, with different owners at the helm, this hotel near the seaside and La Baule expanded to accommodate an ever-growing clientele.

The family Bardouil becomes the owner and the adventure will continue for a sièclefrom generation to generation.

Requisition of the hotel during the war by the Germans. During this period, the hoteliers of the Bardouil had to look after their guests.

Then it's time to create the name Hôtel Sud Bretagne with works and modifications. At that time, the hotel had 47 rooms with a shower, bath and WC on each floor.

After more than a century at the head of this pornichetine institutionthe Bardouil family entrusts us with their keys.

Originally from Brittany, the decision to take over Southern Brittany was an obvious one when we walked through the doors of this large family home. So on 17 December 2022, with our daughters Romane and Adèle, we set down roots in Pornichétine.
As the sons of factory workers and daughters of farmers, we love to welcome our guests to this place steeped in history. As the recent owners of this charming place, our aim is to offer our guests a unique, rejuvenating and thoughtful experience.
We're passionate about old buildings, and ever since we arrived, we've been working to give our beloved hotel a facelift, room by room, floor by floor, so that the story continues. This work requires time and energy, but we have only one objective: to welcome you in the best conditions, as quickly as possible, in a place that resembles us.
